Sudarshan Gauge Isolators protects the gauge from presure surges, hydraulic shocks and vibrations caused by the mecahnical parts. Oil is completely isolated from the gauge untill the knob is pressed. By pressing the knob the oil is directely connected to the gauge port giving the instant reading on the gauge.
